The trauma of sexual assault has many immediate and lasting impacts. Counselling
will help you manage the impacts and regain control of your life. The counsellor
will listen and help you understand what has happened and why you feel the way
you do. You can work together to deal with the impacts. While sexual assault will
remain part of your life experience, the aim of counselling is to work with you
until that experience no longer controls your life. |
